IT Executive Focus: Developing an IT Cost Optimisation Programme

Dublin
Half Day - afternoon - €495 per seat
Purpose:

Organisations rely heavily on Information Technology. IT is now typically one of the largest line items on the CAPEX and OPEX budgets. Despite IT costs attracting major attention within most organisations, few have real IT cost management structures.

This workshop will introduce an IT Cost Optimisation framework, along with tools and techniques to identify where each organisation should focus its efforts to optimise IT costs. Subsequent workshops will drill down into further detail on individual topics.

The workshop is intended to be interactive and participants are encouraged to participate in the context of their own organisation in terms of what may and may not be applicable. Given the interactive nature of the workshop we recommend a maximum of 12 to 15 participants.

Suitable for:
  • CIOs and Senior Management who have budget responsibility
  • IT professionals involved in procurement
  • Line managers who are responsible for significant IT expenditure
  • Purchasing and Procurement professionals
What’s good about the course? :

This is an IT Executive Focus (ITEF) interactive workshop that combines best practice and real world experience. The structure of the session is intended to actively involve attendees. Using our tools and techniques we expect participants to leave with an outline plan of action for their own Cost Containment needs.

We will restrict numbers attending to 12 to 15 in order for you to gain the maximum benefit and interaction.

Attendees will:

  • Learn from experiences in public and private sector in Ireland and internationally
  • Gain an understanding of how a cost optimisation programme can benefit you
  • Understand the risks and challenges involved
  • Gain thought-provoking original thinking from ITEF, including a framework to apply in assessing readiness for a cost optimisation programme, and to identify key priority areas and possible quick wins for your own organisation
  • Be actively engaged in discussions on applicability to your organisation
  • Generate an outline action plan to create a cost optimisation programme in your own organisation
