Making effective Presentations has become an essential skill in today’s workplace. You can learn how to present with confidence and to influence and persuade an audience.

This important skill will help develop your career, build your profile and contribute to effectiveness in the workplace.

The aim of this course is to learn the key skills, which will help overcome the fear and to develop the confidence and capacity to deliver compelling and influential presentations.

The one-day practical training course will look at the steps involved in creating compelling presentations, in addition to an opportunity to practice in a safe environment.

Giving and receiving feedback, both positive and constructive, is also part of the learning experience and will benefit each participant in developing their own personal style.

The sessions will be participative and learning by doing; the programme is divided into formal presentation, group work and practice. Models and templates will be provided which reflect international best practice.

To ensure that you get the most out of your course, please give some thought in advance to preparation of a short presentation you will make during the course.  The presentation can be on any subject you feel comfortable with and you can use PowerPoint slides / notes/ index cards/flip charts or whatever you feel comfortable with. If you are using PowerPoint, you can bring your presentation on a USB for convenience. Your presentation should be no longer than 10 minutes and don’t worry about it being perfect, as the purpose of it is to practice and indeed make mistakes outside of your work environment - you will be learning and growing in confidence as you progress through the day.
