How to Get a PRINCE2® Certification with Trigraph

Getting your PRINCE2® qualification can be straightforward, with two main certification levels:

1. PRINCE2® Foundation This is the entry-level certification, designed to provide a basic understanding of the methodology. It covers the PRINCE2® principles, themes, and processes. The Foundation level is ideal for individuals who need to understand PRINCE2®’s methodology but do not need to manage projects directly.
   • Time Commitment: The Foundation course typically takes 2–3 days of training.
   • Exam: The exam is multiple choice and usually lasts 60 minutes.
   • Passing Score: 60% (36 out of 60 questions).
2. PRINCE2® Practitioner This advanced certification is designed for those actively managing projects. It builds on the Foundation level, teaching how to apply and tailor PRINCE2® in real-world scenarios.
   • Time Commitment: The Practitioner course usually takes 2–3 additional days after completing Foundation.
   • Exam: The exam is scenario-based and lasts 2.5 hours.
   • Passing Score: 60% (42 out of 68 questions).

Trigraph have options for the foundation course, which is 4 days, the practitioner course which is 2 days or you can do a combined course over 6 days which covers both the foundation and practitioner courses.

How Long Does It Take to Become Certified?

At Trigraph our Foundation course is across 4 days and the Practitioner course is 2 more  days the following week with exams in your own time.

The time it takes to become certified depends on your schedule and the level of certification you seek. Most individuals complete the Foundation certification in about a week, including study time and the exam. The Practitioner certification requires an additional few days of study. Some intensive courses offer both Foundation and Practitioner certifications in one week.

Certification Validity and Renewal

PRINCE2® Foundation certification does not expire, meaning once you have it, it is valid for life. However, the PRINCE2® Practitioner certification is valid for three years. To maintain the Practitioner status, you must either retake the exam or collect Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and renew your certification through a membership program.
